Quit Dipping Timeline- Week 1

Here are the initial steps of the quit dipping timeline to be done every day for the first week of your quit.

Quit Dipping Timeline: Day 1

  • Start your day by reviewing DipStop’s quit smokeless tobacco manual. It can be download and printed for FREE here)
  • Don’t panic, speak truth and relax.
  • Reaffirm your choice to quit smokeless tobacco products.
  • Don’t look back.
  • Choose not to dip for the moment.
  • Make sure all tobacco has been thrown away.
  • Choose not to take a dip even if you find a lost can.
  • Eat well, but don’t over eat.
  • Use your toothpicks as needed.
  • Stay focused.
  • Talk with your partner and share how your quit smokeless tobacco process is going.
  • Use a non-tobacco dip alternative as much as you want. (DipStop recommends using BaccOff along with their program).*
  • Make sure you have taken the DipStop herbal drops.*

Quit Dipping Timeline: Day 2

  • Check off day one.
  • Congratulate yourself for day one.
  • Review and affirm your choice to quit smokeless tobacco.
  • Focus on your goal to quit smokeless tobacco products for good and don’t look back.
  • When the waves of lies and panic come, relax and choose for the moment.
  • Use the toothpicks.
  • Gum may be used sparingly.
  • Consult with your partner.
